Sacrifice

Bell Peppers, Tomatoes, Brown Rice and Water = Dinner

"Greg, are you on a diet?" No.

Through a variety of life experiences I have learned the sometimes painful, yet rewarding importance of sacrificing for the greater good down the road. I'm taking part in a fast through my church and although I have done it for two years now, I feel as if now I'm more aware and ready than I've ever been. It almost feels like a necessary thing. Sure, physically I'll lose a bunch of weight, but from a spiritual standpoint I learn quickly the importance of adding simplicity to everything I do. In the words of Ms. Lauryn Hill, "It could all be so simple, but you'd rather make it hard..." Such a fitting phrase for the next 40 days! I hope to obtain a new found respect for the few things I'm giving up, while realizing if need be, I'd be fine without them.

"Without Struggle There Is No Progress..."
