Reflections

Social networks are taking over the world. Our humanity is being cornered into a very small corner of our lives by “like buttons” and “retweets.”

Sexuality is the new black. True, being a “hoe” or being considered “hoe-ish” will never be a good look; however, as sexual stereotypes are constantly being called into question, it is becoming more and more prevalent to discuss the once taboo subject of sex with…the opposite sex.

Although judging people is not our job as human beings, if you’re going to do that, it would be better to judge based on a person’s entire body of work, as opposed to certain instances or experiences. Unfortunately, it seems the negative outweighs the positive these days, so those hours, days, months, years, spent listening to a person’s qualms and problems are quickly thrown out the window over unfortunate misunderstandings.

I don’t feel it necessary to explain myself to any of my peers. Perhaps, it’s the oldest sibling pride I obtained from some very pretentious place or I just believe my thoughts and actions, whether right or wrong, should be taken for what they are and if you unfortunately assume the negative…so be it.

Am I the only one that believes Drake is writing the soundtrack to my life?

I don’t beg for supporters, just because it makes people seem desperate. Most that have taken the time out of their busy schedules to read my “work” hopefully can attest to its dopeness and right now that’s good enough for me; however its those who are “closest” to me that have never or seldom click a link or read an article that kill me. By the way, its on the way.

The United States Department of Education is the second biggest hustle in America. “Sure we’ll loan you as much money as you need, but when you graduate after spending all these years obtaining these degrees, there won’t be any jobs for you.” Debt on debt on debt. The powers that be are afraid of our innate ability to both innovate and inspire change to the current state of things. Pimp the system guys!

A decent amount of my friends are going to be alcoholics.

I never wore clothes to appease the superficial wants of other guys. Its cool to casually crack jokes if you can tell a friend is wearing his best outfit to Broad Ripple on a Tuesday, but questions like “why are you wearing a suit” or “is that a bowtie” make me shake my head. White Tee’s and Chuck Taylors are timeless, just not all the damn time.

Marriage is cool, I’m just not there and I won’t be for awhile. There some things I need to do and she probably has things she needs to do as well. Doesn’t mean I need to go, “Sow my royal oats” just means the worlds a pretty big place with many things I feel it necessary to experience without obligations (for lack of a better term).

Gym class helped a bunch of girls in middle/high school. Helped? The day-to-day physical activity which once seemed so terrible would do wonders for the silent majority of women I know. You don't have to have a gym membership to be in shape.
